You can write a series of articles on one topic and combine them into a short report. This can be used for many purposes in your business. Here are the ways you can use articles to build an online business from the ground up.

• Write 3 articles about your niche topic. Include a one page introduction and a conclusion to make a free report to give away when someone signs up for your list at your website or blog.
• Expand this short report into a longer version, with anywhere between 10 and 30 pages. This can then be called a Special Report and either given away or sold or your website or blog.
• Another way you can use articles to build your business on the internet is to make a compilation of articles, both yours and those written by other people, and create an eBook on a particular topic. All of the articles that are submitted to the article directories can be used, as long as you keep the article in its original format, including the resource box at the end. It is a good idea to contact the article’s author and let them know how you will be using their article. I have been contacted several times by people who want to include my article in their eBook.
• You can also repurpose your articles into audio recordings, videos, teleseminars, and blog posts.

As you can see, the article is your basic building block to building a business on the internet. Once you get started it will become the primary way that you communicate with your target audience.
