Lightning Quick Bike-to-run Triathlon Transitions

Written by admin from on May 16th, 2008 | 0 Comments

Have you ever scanned through the race results of a recent event and noticed that some individuals have 30-40 second transitions from the bike to the run? It’s time to go to speed school and learn how you can have the same splits. Here’s how to do it (written for right leg dominant athletes, just switch sides if you’re left leg dominant):

About 10-30 seconds before dismounting, reach down and unstrap your right shoe and slip your foot out (while stabilizing the shoe with the loop on the back of the shoe). Make sure your right leg is at the top of the pedal stroke, so your foot is within reach.

Every Entrepreneur Should Cut His Teeth On Commission Selling

Do you have what it takes to succeed in your own business?

There’s one sure way to tell, and you don’t have to get an MBA in entrepreneurship to find out.

All you have to do is make an exceptional living as a commission salesperson.

I did this when I was in graduate school, while teaching part-time and working on my Ph.D. Needing more cash to support myself, and especially to pay for my new car, which I cherished, I had to find an opportunity and exploit it, one that wouldn’t interfere with my priorities.

Scripts Are Essential, But You Need The Three Ts To Bring Them To Life

Written by admin from on April 9th, 2008 | 0 Comments

When I write scripts for customer service and for selling, I test them, tweak them here and there, and then I deploy them at my clients’ sites.

Minimally, it’s a systematic process of validation, and once my scripts have been proven in dozens, hundreds, thousands and even millions of conversations, I can say, very authoritatively, that they work.

From my standpoint it is important to be as scientific as possible, not only to be dispensing solutions that are assured of producing sales and customer satisfaction, but to overcome the perennial cynicism that salespeople, customer service reps, and their managers bring to scripts.

House Training Your Puppy

Written by admin from on April 8th, 2008 | 0 Comments

Your puppy has no concept of where and when he should go to the toilet and until he is about six months old he will have none or very limited control over when he goes, nevermind where. A puppy’s gotta do what a puppy’s got to do. Let’s face it a new home and family, possibly an older pet are just to exciting and interesting to him learn about, so all his concentration is spoken for already! It’s up to you to watch his behaviour and set times during his day to focus what little attention he has on the more basic aspects of fitting into family life. With consistency, patience, lots of praise plus a mop and some Stain and Odour Remover eventually your little puppy will grow into a young dog who has learnt some bladder control and where it is acceptable for him to relieve it.

Unfair Sales Technique

“Give me a dollar,” suggested Miss Mary as she smiled into the eyes of unsuspecting customers. “It’s for a great cause. So give me a dollar.”

One-by-one, the victims haplessly and helplessly gave in. No arguing. No haggling. And no excuses.

Why?

Because everyone likes Miss Mary. She’s the forty-something year-old morning 7-11 clerk on Carmel Mountain Road. Her tough southern upbringing and fearless, direct approach made her a natural at getting people to contribute to her cause.
